Quality Analysis and Comprehensive Evaluation of Fruits from Different Cultivars of Pecan (Carya illinoinensis (Wangenheim) K. Koch)

A comprehensive method for evaluating kernel quality was established by estimating in detail the of 27 pecan cultivars introduced into China and exploring major trait differences among different pecan. The contents crude fat, protein, soluble sugar, tannin; fatty acid composition; amino mineral element composition were analyzed tested using national standards principal component analysis (PCA), orthogonal partial least-squares discriminant (OPLS-DA) used to comprehensively evaluate 34 characteristic indicators. acids dominated unsaturated fats, with oleic having highest content relative linoleic acid; medicinal acids; potassium, magnesium, calcium predominant elements. Systematic cluster revealed that could be classified three categories (relatively optimal, general, poorest quality) 21 indexes, including oleic, linoleic, linolenic, sugars, aspartic acid, threonine, served as indexes cultivars. Combined stepwise regression analysis, a evaluation model verified, reliable results obtained.
